I began creating these unique QRaphic QRs in 2011. Though they have been in wide use across the globe, they had not taken hold in the United States at that time.
QR codes are a two-dimensional matrix barcode, invented in 1994, by Japanese company Denso Wave for labelling automobile parts and have been used around the globe for decades.
A QR code (short for Quick Response code) is an array of black and white squares or pixels set in a grid that stores data for a machine to read. A smartphone or camera can quickly process the information contained in a QR code's specific arrangement of pixels, making it a convenient way to store and access data.
The desire to be creative and solve for contactless methods of interacting due to the outbreak of COVID-19 caused the use of QR codes to explode in the United States in 2020. Once used, their effectiveness as a marketing and messaging tool became undeniable.
There are free QR Code generators and paid QR Code generators that offer a free trial. Free QR codes are limiting and can be very costly when you want to print a new destination for your audience.
There are two types of QR codes. Free versions are often referred to as Static QRs and subscription QRs are Dynamic QRs.
As the saying goes, "free is never really free". Attempting to save money with a Static QR will mean that if you have printed that QR and you want to redirect it or update the destination that it takes your audience to, you will have to dispose of all your printed material and reprint them, i.e. menus or special services or events.
Dynamic QR codes send users on to specific information or web pages, just like any other QR code. What makes them "dynamic" is that the URL encoded in them redirects to a second URL that can be changed on demand, even after a code is printed. Static QR codes can't be changed in that way.
Yes. Some services produce QR codes that will not scan across both Android and IOS platforms. This can be very problematic if your QRaphic cannot be scanned by one or the other of these operating services.
No problem. We will set up an account for you to get your QRaphic Design started and will transition the account to you upon digital delivery of your design.
